Prometheus makes it a point to be a regular visitor of Asvera, once his former Asgardian charges relocate there. He does nothing ostentatious during his visits, merely assists the villagers with tasks as needed, or takes on child-sitting duty for any beleaguered caretakers.

It isn't a big village, so he's bound to run into Harley sooner or later. This particular afternoon, he's hanging out by the docks, repairing some fishing nets and humming to himself a little ditty to himself while he works, making himself available to anyone who'd like to sit and keep him company.

Harley is heading back to Thor's little cottage, when she hears someone humming a very familiar tune. She headed over to the docks, and smiled a little, watching the man work on repairing the fishing nets.

After a moment, she adds some of her own vocals to the song, mixing a little more rock into the simple tune. And sits beside him, while still humming along.

Prometheus looks up at the approaching woman and returns the smile. Not one to assume things, it is a very educated guess to him that this is Harley, or at least another one of Thor's friends from the Nexus.

"Not many people around here are familiar with that tune," he comments blithely. He sets down the net and offers her a hand. "Prometheus, Titan of Forethought. Nice to meet you."

"Harley Quinn. Friend of Thor." Harley grins at him, and gives him a sturdy handshake.

"Whatcha trying to catch today, Prometheus?"

"Ah, so you're Harley!" he says, his smile widening. He's both happy to know his guess was correct and that he's finally meeting her. "I have heard about you -- all good things, I assure you! It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance."

His handshake is warm and friendly, like the rest of him. Once he lets go, he resumes repair on the fishing net, laughing a little at her question. "Oh, nothing for me, personally. I'm merely repairing the nets. After that, there's a roof I'm going to re-shingle, and then it's babysitting duty. How about you? What is on your agenda today?"

"Well... mostly sorta babysitting... but not really, because I am sure Thor would not be happy if he heard that. But I am here to help take care of him."

"I am really really close with his brother, Loki." Harley explains.

"And Loki has his hands full. And I sort of shouldn't be on my world. And so I came here. To help where I was needed."

Prometheus gives Harley a knowing look. He's seen the state that Thor is in. The man needs all the support that he can get. "Yes, he mentioned that you were looking after him," he says, his expression turning grateful. "And that you and Loki are close." He chuckles a little and works out a snag in the netting. "You know, normally I worry over mortals who find themselves entangled with deities, but I have a feeling that you know how to take of yourself."

"That is why I'm here as well. Not the 'shouldn't be on my world,' although I appreciate the absence of most of my pantheon. I helped care for some of these people when they were evacuated to the Nexus, and now I follow them here as a guest of Thor's to help out where I can."

Harley adjusts herself, so she can swing her feet back and forth while sitting on the dock. And she smiles. "We have Immortals and Deities on my world. And this ain't the first time I have encountered one... just the first time to have something more."

She doesn't want to think too much about what will happen when she ages -- and Loki does not. It is a nice feeling being his Kjæreste right now. And she wants to embrace that feeling for as long as possible.

"I am glad that you were there to help. And if you need help in helping... I am available." Harley beams at him. Yes, she is the type to offer assistance to a Titan.

"Is that so?" He looks at her curiously. "Which ones, if you don't mind me asking?"

He's unsurprised that Loki is the first deity to win her heart. There is a charisma about him that outshines many of the deities in his own pantheon. "I was wary of Loki when we first met," he admits easily. "But he quickly won me over. We have more than a few things in common... the same is true of Thor, as well. I was always something of an outlier in my own family, it's nice to be so welcomed by another."

Her offer to help is met with a warm smile. "That's a lot of helping!" he says with a laugh, before reaching over to pat her arm. "But I think you're best off concentrating on Thor. He needs time to grief, but his people need him, too."

"Well the Suicide Squad had to do battle against Enchantress, an old Goddess who had possessed an archeologist. And there were a couple of times when I saw Wonder Woman met with members of the Greek Pantheon. And there was the time when Granny Goddess took an interest in me and I was one of the Female Furies of Apokolips."

"There is something about him that just gets me. He just understands my craziness in a way no one else ever has." Harley tilts her head. And smiles slightly. "It is so nice to see him with the Asgardian children right now. I can see how he wants to have that family back in his life."

"I like to help." She grins at him. "I like to stay busy."

As Harley lists her encounters, Prometheus listens with great interest. Some of those names are not familiar, or (he assumes) similar in name only without actually being what he thinks they are, but one title has him beaming brightly. "Wonder Woman is my cousin!" He informs her proudly. "From different universes, but I met her once in the Nexus. I'm from the Greek pantheon. They exist on your world?"

"Yes, I have noticed that also." He keeps his smile, but it is tempered with an underlying concern for his friend. "I wish this wasn't the path the Fates chose for him to have that opportunity, but he is very good with the children."

So is Prometheus, but more in a fun uncle sort of way. He keeps himself too busy on the island. "A woman after my own heart," he laughs. "Idle hands and all that. I have a pottery studio in the Nexus, That's where you can find me when I'm not here."

"They certainly do. Then again... my world also has aliens who fly around in red capes saving the day." Harley grins.

"He definitely has a lot of crayons in the pack right now. I will likely have to kidnap him for some him-and-me time."

"Loki had mentioned your pottery studio to me. I think I might be a bit like a bull in a china shop around your work."

He laughs. "Point taken. No superheroes on my world. Not the traditional kind, anyway. Is that what you did, as a member of the Suicide Squad?"

The Titan acknowledges that Loki has been overworked with a nod of his head, although mention of kidnapping makes him furrow his brows slightly in concern. "If it's consensual kidnapping, then you have my blessing. I can hold down the fort while he's gone."

The fact that Loki mentioned his pottery studio makes him smile and even blush a little. "He did, did he? Somehow I doubt that you'd be anything less than pure grace in my shop. Have you ever shaped clay? It's very relaxing."

"We weren't classified as superheroes. More like criminals forced to go on dangerous missions for the government, and never tell anyone why."

Harley twirls a lock of her hair. "But it was the best time of my life. Working with the others really helped me open my eyes to a new way of thinking."

"That would be great. I know he would want the kids in good hands, before he consents to being kidnapped." Harley nods.

"Nah I have never." Harley blushes.

Ah. It's like a missing puzzle piece on the nature of this woman beside him, although there's nothing judgmental in his attitude. "Sounds very different from this sort of life," he says, gesturing around him. "Except for being able to work with others. What sort of thinking do you do now?"

He chuckles a little at the phrasing. "Have him contact me if he has any explicit instructions." Thor, while appreciating the Titan's company, hasn't given him any specific tasks to do while he's here. Prometheus has taken that responsibility on his own.

Oh! He's surprised by that blush. "You should! I think you'll like it. And if you don't, at least you can say you've tried it." He rubs his beard. "Perhaps I can set up a secondary studio here, purely for teaching. I know that some of the people here would enjoy that."

"I think of myself sort of balancing that line, between what some would call good deeds and bad deeds. It wouldn't bother me if I had to break the law to protect innocents. And it wouldn't bother me if I got blood on my hands. But the stuff I do... I do it to help the innocent and those who can't protect themselves."

Harley shrugs. "I know there are some superheroes who still struggle with that. Because I don't shy away from violence."

"Ohhhhh that is a good idea." Harley agrees. "I brought my BFF here, so we could help get the greenhouse up and going with Thor. And I think that a pottery studio would be great. Let everyone here express themselves. However they want."

"That is a hard line to balance," Prometheus notes. Especially for mortals. The judges of the Underworld often went through each soul's life with a fine-toothed comb. "I can see why Loki is so drawn to you."

As for the subject of superheroes, his expression lightens and he winks. "Well, I won't tell you how to do your job if you don't tell me how to do mine." Prometheus is not one to shy away from violence, either, if it's necessary, although after all the death and suffering he's seen as an immortal, he prefers a non-lethal approach when possible.

"Who is your BFF?" he asks curiously. He re-works another knot on the net, nodding thoughtfully. "Pottery is an excellent outlet of expression. And the finished product can be very useful, too. I'll bring it up to Thor or the council, whomever I see first." He'd like permission before he takes over one of the abandoned storefronts and remodels it to his liking, although he can't imagine anyone saying no to the idea.

"Pamela Isley. I call her Red. And she is known as Poison Ivy on my world. She is a biochemist. And because of a chemical accident -- has a very strong connection to plant life and flowers. I have brought her to the Nexus a few times in the past. And I thought she would be great in helping Thor." Mostly because of the effect Pam has on men, just brightening their day.

"You close with the council?" Harley wonders what that is like. To be someone others go to for advice and guidance.

"I'll keep an eye out for Pamela, then," he replies warmly. He has no idea what he's in for, if he ever meets her.

Prometheus shakes his head, working on another knot. "I am on friendly terms with one or two of them, I have not met them all. It's up to Thor for a formal introduction." Which might be some time, so long as their mutual friend is grieving. "I was an advisor once, to the gods of Olympus, and I have served on various human councils over the years." He grins. "A little tricky, when you're immortal. Luckily, these positions often have term limits, so I can move on after providing some helpful advice for a few years."

"I think Pamela would love your pottery studio. She loves anything connected to nature." Harley grins. She has no idea if Prometheus would feel the affects of Pamela's aphrodisiacs, because of his immortality.

"She might feel a bit like... oh um... Persephone." Harley brightens as she remembers the name all on her own. "Pamela feels like the spring. Especially since she can make flowers bloom all on her own touch."

"I imagine that there is a lot of tricky interactions when you are immortal." Every now and then it occurs to Harley that technically she is dating a God. And there will come a day -- because of her own mortality -- that she will leave Loki.

"Love must be the hardest to hold onto." She muses. In the past few months, Loki and Harley have admitted they care about each other. That they both want to love each other, but still they are both scared.

The Titan is not immune to Eros's arrows, but aphrodisiacs are another story. "She's more than welcome, too. Does she also visit the Nexus?"

The comparison makes him smile broadly. He likes Persephone, at least when she is out and about during the warmer months. "Oh, then you must bring her by. Or perhaps I can visit the greenhouse and see her in action?"

Harley's comment on immortality is met with a nod of agreement. "Definitely. I've had many millennia of experience so I'm used to living among humans without them catching on to my true age, but it takes a lot of planning. That's one thing I like about being here or in the Nexus, I don't have to hide my true identity."

As for love, for the first time in their conversation, Prometheus actually looks a little confused. "It can be, for some immortals," he acknowledges. "I've never been interested in mortals, especially humans. A bit like robbing the cradle, to be honest. Besides, I'm married. No one's turned my head since."

"She does. Right now, she is trying to keep out of sight." Due to Joker being around. But Harley doesn't want to weigh Prometheus with the details on that story.

"She would definitely come for more time in the greenhouse."

"I like how people are just so accepting of each other in the Nexus." Harley smiles. It is important to her to feel accepted.

"You are married?" She smiles. "That is sweet. That you feel that way."

"Mmm." A shy friend, perhaps? Or wary of the inherent dangers of the Nexus. "The greenhouse it is, then. And then the pottery studio, if she's interested."

He returns her smile and nods. "It's nothing I've experienced before. I suppose when you have so many different interconnected realities, you really don't have much of a choice."

"Yes," he replies, although he sounds a little uncertain about that fact. "Hesione is... well, she's a free spirit. Literally. She's an ocean nymph, and as such spends most of her time in the sea. She wasn't as keen to spend all her time around humans, so we had an arrangement to each do our own thing and then meet up every so often."

The only trouble is, it's been a long while since Prometheus last saw her. Since anyone last saw her. "She isn't interested in mortal love, either. We raised a son together, and he was mortal. Watching him grow old and die was difficult for both of us."

Harley really sympathizes with Prometheus when he speaks about Hesione. "Well if there is anyway I can honor her, let me know. Okay?" She grins at him.

There are not a lot of Gods/ Spirits that Harley will actually honor. Hazel is one of the few. And she definitely respects Loki in his role. She feels that adding Hesione is something that she can do.

It's not often that a human surprises Prometheus, but the offer has him looking up at her, net in his hands temporarily forgotten. People so rarely honor ocean nymphs. Hesione's name exists in story, but only as a small footnote. The Titan worries sometimes if that's the reason for her absence. That as the humans forget, so does she.

"You can do something kind for the ocean," he tells her. "And you can include her name in your prayers, if that's something you do."

"I have started to practice on praying more often. Loki named me as his Valkyrie, and from another conversation I had with someone else... there is a lot of responsibilities that I want to learn. And start to undertake." She takes the role very seriously. It is more than just a pet name for her.

Loki must be serious about Harley, Prometheus thinks to himself, if he is giving her such a nickname. "Depending on the deity, a genuine prayer can make all the difference. Thank you for including my wife in them."

"That is the great thing about the Nexus. Meeting people who get that whole aspect of things. And getting opportunities to improve myself. How and when I choose." Harley grins.

"I am glad I found my way to the Nexus."

"Very few people believe in the gods anymore, where I'm from," Prometheus says. "I suppose people in the Nexus don't have much of a choice. I appreciate it, though." He smiles at Harley. "How did you meet Loki? Did you know he was a god when you did?"

"Well... the day I met Loki he sort of made a grand appearance in the Nexus, introducing himself as Thor's younger brother. And I had met Thor first, so I had an inkling."

"He immediately caught my interest." Harley grins.

Prometheus can easily imagine the sort of entrance that Loki made. His smile turns fond at the thought of it. "Far be it from him to announce himself in such a way," he remarks in amusement. "You must have made an impression on him, too."

"I was his kind of crazy. Still am." Harley grins. She considers her chaotic nature to be one of her best advantages.

"I am trying to learn more about being a Valkyrie. I want to make him proud of me."

"Not many mortals can hold their own against a god." He fixes the last of the frayed knots and looks over his net in satisfaction. "But Loki is very insightful when it comes to others. I'm sure he already sees in you what you're capable of."

"I am very glad that I met him. It has made such a difference in my life."
